We’re still alive, mostly. Just two more nights, and we’ll be back in Portland. I’ll write a full report then. I haven’t been able to do on-the-fly updates since we’re camping (like with a tent and everything), and thus, we ain’t got no Intarweb.
At the moment, Loren and I are relaxing after having set up camp at Fossil Falls in southern California, just over the hills from Death Valley. If not for the scrub brush and animal life, this place could pass for Mars. The wind is incredible, as is the sunset, which is taking place as I write this. By some miracle, my cell phone has data service out here.
With any luck, we should be back in Portland late Wednesday night.
