Make Ryan Rich

Thursday August 28, 2003 @ 02:03 PM (PDT)

Here’s the scheme: if I can get a million people to give me one dollar each, I’ll be rolling in money. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to read the details at makeryanrich.com. If you like the idea, give me a dollar. Tell your friends. Call the media. Whatever. Do your part to help make me rich. You know you want to.

Sure, I know it’s not an original idea. But that won’t stop me from trying to get rich off it.

But if you're only supposed to give moneys once, then anyone giving you money NOW can never get moneys back.

Also, I hope you're planning on declaring this on your T-A-X-E-S.

Of course I'm planning on declaring this on my taxes. I don't want the IRS knocking on my door. As for only giving moneys once, there's technically nothing to *stop* anyone from giving money multiple times, I just don't want people giving more than one dollar at once.

I may rework the reward structure if things go too slowly. We'll see.

Okay, I've modified the payback scheme. After every $10,000, 10 randomly-chosen lucky contributors will get $100 back. Sound better?

Ack

I take it back. I just realized there are laws against that. Ack. Maybe I'll do away with the reward completely and just beg. Hmm.

Sounds simple. Simple is good. Now just don't spend it as you go, and all shall be well.

And don't sell any underwear.
