My head is still reeling after seeing the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday. It keeps coming back in flashes, like a bad dream. I’m not exaggerating; the movie is so ridiculous and incoherent that my memories of it feel exactly like the memories of some of my more nonsensical dreams. My biggest fear is that watching the first three movies will now remind me of this one, and I’ll enjoy them less as a result.
If you’re an Indiana Jones fan and haven’t seen Kingdom of the Crystal Skull yet, here’s my advice: don’t. For godssake don’t. See something else. Anything. Speed Racer even. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.

I Agree
I was disappointed, too.
iron man
welp, i think i’ll still see this in the theatres, but now it’ll be a matinee. that’s terrible news that this one doesn’t live up to the first or the third (the second, that one was bad…go ahead ryan, saying, “fuck you mookie!”). anyways, i would suggest iron man for those who are looking for a good summer hero flick (at least until dark knight comes out).
Wasn't that bad
I dunno…having just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark yesterday and then Crystal Skull this morning, I didn’t think it was that bad. The story was no less incoherrent/plausible than any of the others. I actually liked it better than Temple of Doom, so Crystal gets a bronze from me.
Dear George Lucas,
Please stop making movies. At the very least please stop remaking movies. Please?
With regards,
The Movie Going Public
Dear Mr. Lucas
Your time has come and gone. You suck at making movies. Please retire now. Thanks. Byebye.
George: I will do the opposite . . .
When I heard that George Lucas killed a proposed script for this movie a couple of years ago, I knew that was it—if Lucas hated it, it was probably the best version and would never be made. He’s good at creating worlds, but he has to step back and let others populate them. I knew I wouldn’t want to see this version, and won’t.
Advice George should be following: I will do the opposite.
