I can see clearly now

My glasses arrived today and holy crap is the difference amazing. I had no idea how bad my vision was. Everything is perfectly sharp and clear now rather than foggy and blurry. Details jump out at me. I can clearly make out the textures on my walls and the specks of dirt on my light fixtures from a distance. Without the glasses, the walls are just featureless patches of solid color and the light fixtures are drowned out by the blurry glare of the lights. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing.

The best thing about this is that, hopefully, I won’t get eyestrain from watching movies anymore. The effort of focusing on a distant movie screen (or even a TV screen across the room) usually leaves my eyes sore and often results in a headache, which is the crappiest thing ever considering how often I watch movies.

The second best thing about this is that I’ll be able to see people at the other ends of the long hallways at work. For some reason, there’s nothing more frustrating than approaching someone in a hall and not being able to see them clearly until they’re right in front of me.

Oh yeah, and now I’ll be able to see the road while driving at night.
