Don't dream and drive

Monday May 19, 2003 @ 10:39 AM (PDT)

I’ve noticed an eerie trend of late. A lot of people seem to have little dreamcatchers hanging from the rear view mirrors in their cars. It makes me wonder if they know what dreamcatchers are for, and why they think they might need a dreamcatcher in a moving vehicle on the freeway. It also makes me change lanes and get far away from them.

Comments

I've always heard they are for catching nightmares to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.

Exactly. Which is why I found it odd that someone might need one while driving.

Actually, according to the Lakota legend, they are for catching good dreams. The hole in the middle is there so the owner's evil dreams may escape and vanish.
