I find it highly ironic that the most residential bandwidth I can get for a reasonable price in the heart of Silicon Valley is 6Mbps/384Kbps for about $65 a month from Comcast. In Oregon, I was paying the same amount to the same company for a blazing 12Mbps/768Kbps.

That is really odd considering Silicon Valley is like a the high tech center of the world.

Yeah... I can't ever move anywhere that doesn't have FiOS available at this point. It's just too good!

I assume you can still get faster, but it will cost you more. Welcome to the higher cost of living in CA.

Actually, if I want anything faster than what Comcast offers, my only choice is to get a dedicated T3 line or something similar, which would be hideously expensive.
